Here at Timebubble, we try to keep all our products sustainable to do our bit for the environment, using natural materials like wood, wood based materials and cotton. Having travelled back into the past and returning to the present day, we’ve really noticed the impact that humans have had on the world. That’s why we design all our toys & packaging so that they are made from at least 70% sustainable materials. All the timber used comes from managed forests and our packaging is as low impact as we can make it, whilst still allowing our toys and gifts to provide hours of fun.
FSC approved timber.
In 2019 we will be moving from standard plastic packaging to...
Using 'Degradable' or 'Oxo-degradable' packaging alongside our cardboard packaging.
We source our packaging bags from 'Polybags.co.uk' who offer a range of standard biodegradable packaging bags made from regular polythene, i.e. manufactured using oil-based polymers, but with an additive that acts as a catalyst to accelerate the degradation process.
The additive - named TDPA (Totally Degradable Plastic Additives) and produced by EPI Environmental Technologies - is designed to manage the lifetime of polythene products so that, once their useful shelf life has passed, they will first degrade and then biodegrade into environmentally-benign products in a matter of months or years, rather than decades or centuries.
